Connecting a ProfiShark

USB 3.0 is mandatory to connect ProfiShark 10G and 10G+ to the host computer (Windows/Linux/MacOS/Synology).

ProfiShark 100M, 1G and 1G+ support USB 2.0 and 3.0 connections.

Due to the USB 3.0 restrictions, the maximum bandwidth usage which can be transmitted without packet drops is around 3 Gbps.

We strongly advise connecting the ProfiShark device to a native USB 3.0 port on the host machine. Using a USB hub may lead to hardware dropped packets.
