When is the Bypass TAP in 'ON' or 'OFF' mode?
The Bypass TAP will be in 'ON' mode when any of the following happens:
- Power loss of the Bypass TAP;
- TAP ports link failure: either one or both of the TAP ports A and B links are down;
- In-line appliance failure;
- Bypass ON mode is forced manually.
The Bypass TAP will be in 'OFF' mode when all of the following conditions are met:
- The Bypass TAP is powered ON;
- TAP ports A and B are linked up;
- The in-line appliance is up and running;
- Bypass ON mode is not manually forced.
